This morning was tour guide time, and today we were told about Colorado River history. Our tour guide said that a long time ago Colorado River’s water disappeared, and Hopi disappeared too. No one knows the reason that caused the water and Hopi to disappear; they just call it 'Christ child'. 'Christ child' is a natural phenomenon, and if a place has the ‘Christ child’ phenomenon, it's ecology will change a lot.
Our tour guide said that Flagstaff’s night is very famous in America. They called it ‘國際暗夜城’, because Flagstaff has a rule to protect the night sky, and the rule says in the night you can’t have open light and shoot it in the sky. I think this is a good rule for the stars.
Tonight we went to Lowell Observatory and there were a lot of stars, and I almost couldn't feel the dark. In Lowell Observatory, first we listened to a guide speak about the star chart, but the guide spoke too quickly, so l really didn't understand what he said. When the speech was over, we went outside and took a telescope to look at a star. The star was beautiful and seemed like a diamond.
Today was the last day in Arizona, so most of the time we cleaned the house. Actually, I don’t want leave Arizona, because I like Arizona’s weather and people and my friends Elizabeth and Gina are there. I feel so sad, so I think when I have a chance I will come back to Will's house.
We said goodbye to Gina's family before we left Will's house, and Elizabeth gave me a big hug. I really hope she will come to Taiwan with us.
This night Will and Millie had a meal with us. We went to eat at a Chinese food buffet, and their food was very delicious and cheap. In the buffet my favorite food was fried noodles.
After dinner Will said goodbye to us, and he gave a hug to everyone. Now the Arizona trip has end
